New business in Kamsack aims to support the community

Kamsack was chosen as the newest location for CORE Industrial Services

KAMSACK - CORE Industrial Services L.P. is excited to be opening as one of Kamsack’s newest businesses.

The company also has locations in Rocanville, Esterhazy, and Saskatoon. Core Industrial Services incorporated in 2014, and is a part of the SECON Group, specializing in the mining, oil and gas, commercial, and residential sectors of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba.

Located at 401 Queen Elizabeth Blvd. in Kamsack, the company opened officially on August 20. The local team is now up and running and ready to provide a number of services for Kamsack and area customers’ farming, residential, and commercial needs. The CORE Kamsack location is owned by Cole Raiwet, who also serves as SECON Vice President. Raiwet, who has many connections in Kamsack and the Madge Lake area, says CORE is a community-minded business that looks forward to not only servicing the community, but also giving back.

Under the leadership of Operations Manager, Tyler Thompson, the Kamsack location offers 24/7 service. Employed as operators are; Dale Nelson (who has been serving the Kamsack area in a similar role but under different companies for nearly 30 years) and Dave Catcher, a new local hire.

Kamsack’s own Kim Magnan, who has worked in the local industry for the past seven years, has joined CORE Industrial in the role of administrator. Magnan says the company is currently looking to hire more licensed 3A drivers to join the local team.

CORE says there is no job too big or small with their many different pieces of equipment including; skid steers, loaders, excavators big and small, dozers, rock trucks, gravel trucks, tractor/mowers. The team is now ready to take on jobs such as road builds, large foundation preps, lease builds, crane pads, trenching, basements, septic tanks, landscaping, dugouts, and snow removal.

CORE can provide from single to triaxle trucks, 24/7 for day lighting, pressure testing, line jetting, tank cleaning & line locating, septic and vac services, single axle, tandem axle, tri-axle and tanker trucks with oversized pumps. In addition, CORE provides a variety of construction rentals; lights towers, office trailers, generators, pumps, heavy equipment, and all-season washrooms.

While not of all the above mentioned equipment remains on site in Kamsack, nearby locations can have trucks and equipment from locations in Rocanville and Esterhazy to the Kamsack area within 90 minutes.

“We’re a company that believes in giving back to the community,” said Thompson. “We take pride in supporting local schools and sports teams like kid’s hockey or baseball with direct funds, labour, or equipment. Recently, we supported a daycare facility in Whitewood that broke ground two weeks ago. We proudly supported $50,000 worth of goods and services to that community project.”
