Kamsack RCMP recovers $5000+ worth of items from a break-in

Two men were charged in connection to an illegal entry of a Kamsack business on Halloween.

Two men were arrested in connection to a break and enter at a Kamsack business.

KAMSACK — A Keeseekoose man was being sought by police last week following an illegal entry of a Kamsack business on Halloween when over $5,000 worth of items were stolen.

At about 7 a.m. on Oct. 31, an incident of break-and-enter occurred at a Kamsack business and was subsequently reported to Kamsack RCMP, said a release from the detachment issued on Nov. 2. On Nov. 1, Kamsack RCMP attended a residence on Keeseekoose First Nation and arrested an adult male as a result of investigation.

Over $5,000 worth of miscellaneous goods reported stolen were also recovered, the release said.

A male resident of Keeseekoose First Nation was arrested and charged with: break-and-enter, theft over $5,000, mischief over $5,000, theft of motor vehicle, possession of property, breach of probation, and trafficking in property obtained by crime.

The male appeared on his charges on Nov. 2 in Kamsack Provincial Court and was remanded into custody until Nov. 8 at 11 a.m., it said.

As a result of continued investigation, another Keeseekoose First Nation male has also been charged with: committing break-and-enter, theft over $5,000, mischief over $5,000, theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and trafficking in property obtained by crime. Kamsack RCMP asked the public for help to locate the man. He was located and arrested.
