Heart and Home Quilting Club expresses gratitude for donations

The generosity of the community has enabled the Heart and Home Quilting Club to extend its reach to various local groups. Quilts have been distributed to Eaglestone Lodge, Kamsack Nursing Home, Victim Services, and the Kamsack Fire Hall.

KAMSACK — The Heart and Home Quilting Club extends its heartfelt appreciation to the community for the overwhelming support received throughout the year.

The club said they would like to express gratitude to those who generously donated fabric and materials and those who contributed by purchasing gifts at the various sales organized.

Thanks to the collective support, the club has successfully replenished its quilting supplies, ensuring the continuation of its various projects. A special acknowledgement goes to Diane Zbeetnoff, who emerged as the fortunate winner of the Starlight quilt draw.

This year, the Heart and Home Quilting Club engaged in a diverse array of crafting projects, showcasing their creativity and commitment. The club crafted Japanese knot bags, aprons, table runners, placemats, potholders, decorations, shackets (sweatshirts transformed into jackets), pet beds, and quilts.

The club partnered with Public Health to provide a new quilt to babies born in the local area, emphasizing their dedication to community welfare. Additionally, the club continues to play a crucial role in supporting the Climax, Sask. chapter of Victoria Cancer Quilts.

The generosity of the community has enabled the Heart and Home Quilting Club to extend its reach to various local groups. Quilts have been distributed to Eaglestone Lodge, Kamsack Nursing Home, Victim Services, and the Kamsack Fire Hall. Smaller projects were also donated to Victoria School for their Christmas store, spreading warmth and joy during the festive season.

For those interested in learning more about the Heart and Home Quilting Club, the club holds regular meetings every Wednesday in the United Church basement from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. These gatherings provide an opportunity for quilters to come together, share their passion for quilting, and contribute to the community projects that the club undertakes.

The Heart and Home Quilting Club expresses gratitude once again for the community's continued support, emphasizing that it plays a pivotal role in their ability to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
