To start this week a big shout out to Dorian Bush of Yorkton.
Bush is the inaugural inductee to the PADG ‘Ace Club’. He turned the trick July 15 at Patrick Park Disc Golf Course with a forehand drive on #6. He used the 2016 PDGA members disc, a MVP ‘Inertia’ at 155 gms. The ace was even witnessed by local disc golfer Irene Cymbalisty. Congrats Dorian on your first career ace.
Speaking of the ‘Ace Club’ it is one of the features of the PADG’s recently launched website.
The site ( ) has a wide array of information, including general information on disc golf, separate pages dedicated to the current courses in the PADG-area, (currently sitting at 19), course reviews by players, tournament information, and a blog featuring the latest news from the Association.
The website is one of the ongoing initiatives of the PADG to help grow the sport locally.
In a similar vein the PADG has brochures available which are ideal for recreation sports, tourist information centres, etc. If you would like to have some for your spot, they list all area courses, along with general information on the sport, just contact the email below.
Also note two tournaments are scheduled for the end of July.
The inaugural event at North Ridge Disc Golf Course at Birtle, MB. goes this Saturday.
And the following Saturday head to the Sandy Beach Open at Sandy Beach on Good Spirit Lake.
There is also good news on the course install front with work progressing on courses at Katepwa and Ituna.
The course at Moosomin Regional Park is now ready for action with temporary tonals in place, check it out.
