Canora Keen Age Centre holds Valentine’s Day social

“The Canora seniors have done it again,” said Jean Zarazun of the St. Valentine’s Day social held at the Keen Age Centre on February 12.

“The Canora seniors have done it again,” said Jean Zarazun of the St. Valentine’s Day social held at the Keen Age Centre on February 12.

“As in the past years, they came dressed in Valentine’s Day attire, and what an array of colours!” said Zarazun, the Centre’s social convener.

As president, Edith Kotzer welcomed everyone and commented on the weather which was “in our favour,” and thanked everyone for attending.

The crowd was entertained by Dwight MacDonald and Don Kulcsar of Yorkton who provided “a nice blend of music.”

“Dwight has a style of his own; singing country and folk and is very easy to listen to,” Zarazun said. “His instrumental to the tune of Wildwood Flower was super good.”

During a break, Marie Waselyshen entertained with some jokes, she said. There was as short presentation about February being Heart Month by a representative of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and everyone present received a heart pin.

Zarazun welcomed guests Linda MacDonald, Shirley Cole, Lorilee Chaikowski and Lynn Petryshen.
