More than $5,000 was raised at a steak night fundraiser for Camp Easter Seal at the Crystal Lake Golf Course on July 17.
Alvin Law, a well known celebrity and motivational speaker, spoke about the important role that Camp Easter Seal played in his life. He maintains a summer cottage at the lake.
In addition to a fabulous dinner prepared by the golf course staff, those in attendance participated in a lively dessert auction. A Saskatoon berry pie, made entirely from scratch by a group of teenagers, sold for $400. Also auctioned were four Roughrider game tickets donated by the Crystal Lake Golf Course and numerous items donated by individuals and businesses.
