RCMP Report: Art supplies stolen from Canora Composite School

RCMP investigated a break-and-enter at the Canora Composite School. A male had broken a window, gained access to the building and stolen art supplies.

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 34 calls from July 6 to 13, including a mischief complaint at Par-Tici-Putt Mini Golf at Good Spirit Lake. Fencing around the property had been damaged. Police continue to investigate.

CANORA - The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 34 calls from July 6 to July 13, some of which included: three 911 Act calls, one assault, one break-and-enter, one criminal harassment, one disturbing the peace, one failure to comply with conditions, two false alarms, one fraud, one Liquor Act call, one Mental Health Act Call, three mischiefs, two other provincial calls, three thefts, eight traffic offenses, two uttering threats, and one wellbeing check.

Theft from school

On July 7, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP investigated a break-and-enter at the Canora Composite School. A male had broken a window, gained access to the building and stolen art supplies. Police continue to investigate.

Not a golf fan?

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched on July 8 to a mischief complaint at Par-Tici-Putt Mini Golf at Good Spirit Lake. Fencing around the property had been damaged. Police continue to investigate.

Happy ending

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a call that a male had stolen the caller’s debit card to buy alcohol in Preeceville on July 8. Police followed up with the caller and learned the money was paid back and further police involvement was not required.

Argument escalates

On July 10, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP investigated a report of an assault that occurred in Canora. A female reported having been pushed after an argument occurred with another female. Police continue to investigate.

Stolen sign recovered

A sign was reported stolen on July 10 from a property in the RM of Good Lake by Canora Beach. The sign was later recovered in a slough. 

Alcohol-fueled tall tale

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a call from a female stating she was locked in a trailer behind a residence in Canora on July 10 and needed help. The caller was found standing outside the Canora RCMP Detachment. Police determined there was no actual emergency or offence, however alcohol was a factor in the complaint.
