INVERMAY - Adopting the theme “Let us make our future now, and let us make our dreams tomorrow’s reality” (Malala Yousafza), four graduates celebrated their graduation from Invermay School on June 27.
The members of the Class of 2024 are: Aron Cudal, Rachel Enge, Gwyn Cabungcal and Remy Fidek.
In unfinished business from the 2022-2023 school year, Kayla Dubas received the Governor General’s Award from GSSD Superintendent Shaune Beatty.
The graduates were presented with an impressive list of scholarships and awards.
In addition to being chosen as the valedictorian, Rachel Enge received: the Clearview Agro scholarship, the Yearbook Award, Cross Age Tutor certificate, Canadian Studies award, English award, senior athletic award, academic medallion, Grade 12 academic award, Grade 12 proficiency award, 2024 Schulich Leader nominee, Invermay School Community Council award, Invermay Agricultural Society award, Good Spirit School Division scholarship, Invermay School Staff scholarship, Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong, Village of Invermay Scholarship and the Rama Co-op Scholarship.
Aron Cudal was presented with the S.U.N. Local #236 Scholarship by May Hilario. Cudal also received: the senior athletic award, mathematics award, sciences award, academic medallion, University of Regina entrance scholarship, Invermay School Community award, RM of Invermay award, Invermay School Staff scholarship, Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong, Aspen Paramedic Services scholarship, and the Leson’s Funeral Home Scholarship.
Remy Fidek received the Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong.
The winner of the Art award was Gwyn Cabungcal. She also received: the Yearbook award, academic medallion, Wadena Co-op Association Ltd. Scholarship, and the Scholarship in Memory of Mdm Loh Guah Hong.
