Invermay & District Fire Chief Mark Eskra unveiled their newly acquired 2002 Superior Fire Engine, an acquisition made possible by member municipalities and communities.

INVERMAY - Even though it’s not technically ‘new,’ the Invermay & District Fire Department is looking forward to making use of their recently purchased fire truck, a 2002 Superior Fire Engine.

Fire Chief Mark Eskra said the department serves the Village of Invermay, the Village of Rama, the RM of Invermay and a portion of the RM of Hazel Dell.

“The new unit will help us to continue to provide emergency services to our protection area,” said Eskra.

The purchase of the new (to them) unit was funded primarily by the Village of Invermay and the RM of Invermay, along with a donation from the RM of Hazel Dell.

“In my 41 years with the IFD, I have been around for the acquisition of six different fire apparatus. It’s great to see the support of our member municipalities and the continued progress in our department,” concluded Eskra.
