Canora/Sturgis RCMP activity report: Not the phone cops

A caller requested police talk to his ex-girlfriend to have his cell phone turned back on as she cancelled the contract. As the cell phone contract was a civil agreement between both parties, police were unable to further assist on the matter.
Canora RCMP Report_result
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 66 calls from Oct. 6 to Oct. 13, including a complaint of a fight occurring inside a residence in Preeceville. Police attended and determined no fight occurred.

The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 66 calls from Oct. 6 to Oct. 13, some of which included: one 911 Act call, one fraud, one break-and-enter, two criminal harassments, two uttering threats, one aggravated assault, one bicycle theft, one Mental Health Act call, 32 traffic offences, one traffic collision, one harassing phone call, five mischiefs, one disturbing the peace, one wellbeing check, five false alarms, one Firearms Act call, and one Fire Prevention Act call.
Not the phone cops
On Oct. 5, a male called 911 requesting the Canora/Sturgis RCMP talk to his ex-girlfriend to have his cell phone turned back on as she cancelled the contract. As the cell phone contract was a civil agreement between both parties, police were unable to further assist on the matter. 
Where's the fight?
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched on Oct. 6 to a complaint of a fight occurring inside a residence in Preeceville. Police attended and determined no fight occurred and further police involvement was not required.
Theft gone wrong
On Oct. 7, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a report from SaskPower that someone attempted to steal copper wire from a power pole located behind a business on Second Avenue East in Canora. The person(s) responsible may have received serious burns or injuries from the attempted theft. Unlicensed firearm
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP located a firearm inside a vehicle during a traffic stop on Highway No. 5 east of Canora on Oct. 8. Neither of the two occupants of the vehicle had a firearms licence. The firearm was seized and police continue to investigate.
Garage fire
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched on Oct. 10 to a garage fire in the RM of Good Lake.  The garage sustained smoke and fire damage. The cause of the fire is not suspicious.
Stolen deck
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a report of a break-and-enter at a residence on Canora Avenue in Canora on Oct. 11. The lock was broken on the house and the deck was stolen. The investigation continues. 
Squatters
On Oct. 12, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of a male and female found sleeping in a vacant rental facility in Canora. The two suspects fled prior to police arriving. Police continue to investigate.
Traffic stop
Between Oct. 7 and 10, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP and Yorkton Traffic Services participated in Operation Impact, which is a traffic safety campaign to raise public awareness of the risks associated with engaging in dangerous and illegal driving behaviours. A total of 30 traffic offences were reported resulting in 25 traffic related charges and warnings in the Canora and Sturgis area.
