Blue Collar Sale again successful in Yorkton

The sale high seller was Northern View Alpha 1L from Northern View Angus which sold for $19,000 to Rio Grande Angus.

YORKTON - The18th annual Blue Collar Bull Sale saw excellent prices Saturday.

Overall, 50 bulls sold, averaging $8,978 at the sale held at Heartland Livestock in Yorkton.

The sale high seller Northern View Alpha 1L from Northern View Angus sold for $19,000 to Rio Grande Angus.

The high seller for Parkwood Farm was Parkwood Final Answer 20L selling for $13,500 to Marc and Julie Herman.

The purebred open heifers averaged $5,414.

The Parkwood Farm high seller was Parkwood Epponia 38L for $7,500 to Kelly Lightfoot.

Irving Angus’ high seller was Irving Angus SD Lady Lee 12L for $5,200 also to Kelly Lightfoot.

Commercial open heifers averaged $3021.

The high selling pen was Jeff Davis’ pen for $3,300 to Hunter Charolais.
